This is my translation of a N4-graded reading passage from Marshall’s Site.

Once it became October, it quickly became cold. Were you well after that, Yamada-san? I think I’ve become busy after I returned to work every day.

Well, I’m really sorry that the other day I abruptly couldn’t go on vacation and caused trouble for you. Although, it was too bad, I wanted to go on vacation to Hakone together.

That morning, in the car on the way to the station, I got into an accident. And then, my partner got injured. My feet seem lightly hurt, but my partner went to the hospital.

Truly, I’m very sorry.

October 5

New Words (for me)

  • 突然 – Abrupt
  • 迷惑をかけて – to cause trouble (for someone)
  • 箱根 – Hakone
  • 事故じこにあう – to have an accident
