My translation of the first Nihongo Palette episode, using the transcript after having listened to the episode.
This time it’s the first episode.
I’ll do a self introduction.
Nice to meet you, my name is Sayuri.
I’m from Kagawa prefecture in Shikoku, Japan.
I work as a Japanese teacher online.
I’m making things like podcasts and youtube videos.
Except for this podcast, Sayuri Saying’s Everyday Japanese Podcast is a little difficult and intended for intermediate students.
I’ve been continuously making podcasts and youtube videos since 2020.
My hobbies are hiking, cycling, and reading books.
I like hiking day trips and short hikes.
I like the freedom of cycling more than things like cars or the train.
Reading is reading books.
I like reading books of all kinds of genre.
Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of mysteries.
These 3 hobbies I’ve had continuously for more than 10 years.
I have other hobbies besides these.
I’ll be talking on a lot of different episodes from now on.
I love a new challenge.
This Japanese podcast is also a new challenge.
Japanese Palette’s name is after a palette which is a board you can mix paint on.
You can use it to mix colors and paint a pretty picture.
I’m trying to make a palette like this.
I made this because I want to study a lot of things with Japanese.
This podcast will use a lot of different words and grammar points, I think.
Level N4 through N3 people should try and speak.
Let’s look forward to studying together.
Please look upon me favorably.
